This is a recipe that will come in handy very often. You can use it in your coffe, hot chocolate, on ice cream or drizzle it over whipped cream. Whatever you decide to do with this recipe it will be delicious!
You will need:
- 200g caster sugar
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 110ml heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon fleur de sel
How it´s prepared:
In a frying pan melt the sugar and then add the butter. *Please be very careful with this preperation. Sugar can reach temperatures of over 200°celsius and you don´t want to burn yourself with it. As soon as the butter is incorporated slowly add the heavy cream and stir gently. Take the pan off the heat und let the caramelsauce cool down for about a minute. Now you can add the salt to.
And that is all there is to it. Please be careful if you want to taste it, like I said it gets very very hot and that is why it needs a good 10-15 minutes to cool down to a temperature that is doable for you. You can just put it in a jar and keep it in the fridge. If you like you can reheat it in the microwave and drizzle it over your ice cream. Enjoy!
