MMMHhhhhhh don´t we all love a nice piece of warm Plum cake with a side of whipped cream in late autum?! This is probably the fastest and easiest and also most delicious plum cake you have ever made.
All you need is our basic biscuit cake batter, add about 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and put it into a baking pan. Now you need about 400g of fresh plums. Don´t forget to wash them first. Dry them with a kitchen towel and cut them in half. Take out the seed and place the plums in a circle onto your batter. Now just sprinkle a little bit of sugar on them (this will create a nice caramel taste). Now you have two choices – you can either put the cake in the oven as it is or make a quick crumble mixture to put on top for a crispy, buttery finish.
Either way you are going to have to bake the cake at 170°C for about 20-25 minutes, depending on your oven. As soon as the cake turns golden brown it should be ready.
